June Samson, 80, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passes away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab, Oak Grove, MO. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; with burial at 1:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
June was born on July 2, 1931 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Gordon L. and Gertrude Naomi (Franklin) Burns. She married Peter Samson in July 1951. June was an LPN.
June was preceded in death by her parents.
Her survivors include her husband of 60 years, Peter Samson of the home; four sons: Peter & Ellen Samson Jr. of Wichita, KS, James & Becky Samson of Lawrenceville, GA, Matt & Diane Samson of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Mark & Marilyn Samson of Lee’s Summit, MO; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister: Naomi Mayers.
