Justin Allen Hubbard, 31, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019. Services will be held at a later date.
Justin was born May 22, 1988 in Kansas City, Missouri to James Allen Foster and Carolyn Sue Hubbard. There were many other family members who also contributed to Justin’s upbringing.
Justin’s passions and dreams were all centered around his family and his music. His music was a way for Justin to tell his story, show his feelings, and sometimes just to be loud, rowdy, and fun. He loved to play and sing, and he wrote many songs – several that were about his wife and kids. Justin also enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping.
Justin married his Summertime Sweetheart, Kayla Ferguson on July 12, 2014 in Garnett, Kansas. Their paths first crossed (and the crush began) when they were somewhere around 10 years old when Justin visited relatives in Garnett for two weeks every summer. Each summer for about three years they picked up where they left off the summer before. At about 13 they lost touch and their paths did not cross again until 2011 when the crush began to grow again. Since then, they have spent their lives raising five beautiful children: Jazlynn (age 12), Aubree (age 9), Natalee (age 9), Ashton (age 7) and Lydian (age 17 months).
Justin was preceded in death by both his mother and father, beloved Uncle Earl (who he also called Pa Pa), and cousin Jessica Newport.
Justin is survived by his wife, Kayla; children: Jazlynn, Aubree, Natalee, Ashton, and Lydian; brothers: Terrance (TJ) and wife Aubrey of LaCygne, Kansas, James (JW) of Kaufman, Texas, Jack Leo and wife Brandy of Gravois Mills, Missouri; and sister Debbie and husband Jerry of West Plains, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
