Justin Eric Tieman, 21, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd at Royer Funeral Home, Blue Springs. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Blue Springs South Jaguar Pride Band.
Justin was born on June 25, 1997 in Chicago, IL, son of Brian and Jennifer (Anderson) Tieman. He graduated from Blue Springs South High School in 2015, where he was a member of the marching band, jazz band, and concert band. Justin won the National Young Astronomers Award in 2012. He was currently a sophomore at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO.
Justin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Eric Anderson in 2001.
His survivors include his parents, Brian and Jennifer Tieman of Lee’s Summit; brother, Christopher Woods (Amy) of Sugar Grove, IL; two sisters, Catherine Tieman of Woodridge, IL and Caroline Tieman of the home; maternal grandmother, Alice Anderson of Goodyear, AZ; and paternal grandparents, James Dennis Tieman (Ilene) of Spring Valley, IL.
