Karen Lea Hamilton, 59, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family for a fund that has been set up for her grandchildren’s education.
Karen was born on March 22, 1949, in Greenwood, MO, the daughter of Robert H. and Ann E. (Clarkson) Hamilton. She was a graduate of Blue Springs High School and she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia College. Karen owned Tax Plus tax preparing service in Blue Springs. She was a member of Unity Church. She loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Her survivors include one daughter: Shauna D. Hamilton of the home; two grandchildren: Taylor Hamilton and Karissa Huckins, both of the home; her parents: Ann Courtney & her husband, David, affectionately known as
“Pa” of Lamar, MO; one brother: Richard Hamilton of Blue Springs; one sister: Mary Weber of Pittsford, NY’ one nephew: Richard Weber IV; one niece: Jennifer Lieske; and one great-nephew: “Quinto” Weber.
