Kenneth F. Robinson


Kenneth Franklin Robinson, 87, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Villages of Jackson Creek, Independence, MO.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1st at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oak Grove Methodist Church.

Kenneth was born July 27, 1928, in Oak Grove, Missouri, the son of Frank L. and Katherine (Stillwell) Robinson.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  Kenneth owned and operated Kenny’s Petroleum Repair for many years prior to retirement.  He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, the American Legion in Oak Grove, and the Masonic Lodge in Oak Grove.  Kenneth enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and playing cards.  He especially loved spending time with his family.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Shirley in 1968; his second wife, Helen in 2015; and two brothers: James Robinson in 1918, and Lawrence Robinson in 2014.

His survivors include two daughters: Penny Williams (Randy) of Blue Springs, and Barbara House of Independence; one son, Frank Robinson (Linda) of Oak Grove; one sister, Marguerite Miller of Independence; four grandchildren: Brad Williams (Jessica) of Grain Valley, Kristy Simms (Nate) of Lake Lotawana, Korey Keck (Emmalee) of Grain Valley, and Katie Keck of Lee’s Summit; and three great-grandchildren: Riley, Gage, and Kipton.
