Kenneth R. Turner, 83, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away January 16, 2016. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the funeral home; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Kenneth was born on June 2, 1932, in Grain Valley, Missouri, the son of James and Lena (Todd) Turner. Kenneth married Judy Turner, on June 29, 1956. He was an alderman, police judge and mayor pro-tem for Buckner. He loved dancing, mowing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Turner in 2000; and his daughter, Karen Turner in 1997. He is survived by his daughters, Connie Case of Grain Valley, MO, and Cindy Wingebach of Eudora, KS; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Linda Butkovitch of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Alice Jane Carter of OK.
