Kirk was born on February 15, 1955 to Leo & Cleo Shout in Kansas City, MO.
Kirk graduated from Grandview High School and attended UMKC Conservatory of Music.
Kirk was a retired musician/drummer and percussion teacher. He played since the early age of 10. He played with several local bands and had the opportunity to be the opening band with some local talents, one in particular was “Asleep at the Wheel”. He later found enjoyment teaching percussion to adults and children mostly with Guitar World and another store in Independence, MO and some private lessons. He absolutely loved playing the drums. It was his passion but later in life teaching became the next best thing to a live audience.
