Larry D. Harnar


Larry Dale Harnar, 66, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 23rd in New Salem Cemetery, Independence. 

Larry was born March 23, 1952 in Independence, MO, the son of Charles and Minnie (Greenshaw) Harnar.  He was an auto mechanic for many years and played the bass guitar in a band.  Larry loved music, cars, beer and the color black.  Most of all, he loved his family and will be dearly missed.

Larry is survived by his wife of 17 years, Glenda, of the home; four step-children: April Neeley of Kansas City, MO, Stephanie Walker of Savage, MN, Jennifer Kinnison of Savage, and Joseph (Emily Kinnaird) Kinnison of Bethany, MO; one

 grandchild: Tyler McIntyre of Clarksville, TN; three step-grandchildren: Kayla and Erik Alvarez of Savage, and Raymond Kinnison of Bethany; and his niece, Laura Harvey, and nephew, Robbie Harvey, both of Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Denisa McIntyre; one sister, Barbara “Suzie” Harp; and one brother, Kenny Harnar.
