Leland Wayne Raymer, 81, of Independence, MO passed away at his home September 11, 2021 surrounded by his family. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Leland “Corky” was born March 19, 1940 in Sedalia, MO to Neaily L & Letha F (Wiseman) Raymer. Leland served in the United States Air Force. He married Mary A. Prohaska on February 11, 1967. Leland enjoyed doing any kind of woodworking and gardening. He was a big fan of the KC Royals and KC Chiefs and KU Basketball. Leland and Mary both loved to travel. Together they traveled all over the United States and to Europe and South America. He was a people person and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Leland was preceded in death by his parents: Neaily & Letha Raymer; brothers: Lee Raymer, Kenneth Raymer; sisters: Lueva Palmer, Maxine Knight, Shirley Jones, Madine Jacobs.
Leland is survived by his wife Mary Raymer of the home; children: Gary Raymer, Nancy Hackler, Chris Raymer (Ilene); grandchildren: Rachael, Audrey, Mary Hackler, Adam, Paul, Nathan Raymer; brother: CL Raymer (Debbie), Ronnie Raymer (Linda); sister: Betty Chick and many nieces and nephews.
