Leon Wayne Jordan, 69, of Blue Springs, MO, entered into His eternal home with his loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 14, 2014. He was reunited in Heaven with his mother and father, Billy Ray and Inez Jordan, and his daughter Robin Michelle Davenport.
Leon was born on November 1, 1945, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1965, and worked at Fixtures Furniture in Kansas City, MO for 37 years. Leon spent his life working hard and providing for his family. He was a man who always put others’ needs ahead of his own and taught his children to do the same. He had a smile for everyone and was known by many for his sense of humor and practical jokes. He loved NASCAR, fishing, camping at the lake in his RV, watching the Chiefs and Royals, and most of all, spending time with his family. Whether it was his wife, children, or grandchildren, the friends he worked with, or his beloved pets, he loved deeply and appreciated the beauty in everything.
Leon is survived by wife, Patty Jordan of Blue Springs, MO; son, Douglas Jordan of Blue Springs, MO; son, Brian Jordan of Rocky Mount, MO; daughter, Kathy Lee of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Billie Lynn Nichols of Gladstone, MO. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: KaSaundra, Heather, Camden, Rachel, Hunter, Allison, Brian, Briana, Jonnie, Trenton, Krystal; 4 great-grandchildren: Kira, Oliver, Zoey, Vann, and one more on the way, Mia.
Leon’s life will be celebrated 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday December 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial at Greenton Cemetery.
