Leslie Earl Smith, 94, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time. An inurnment will take place at a later date in Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

Leslie was born on April 11, 1912, in Iberia, Missouri, the son of Felix L. and Theresa J. (Dearduff) Smith. He married Minnie Lee Leslie on September 14, 1946. He was a truck driver. Leslie was a member of the First Methodist Church in Tipton, MO, and of the Teamsters Local #41. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family. Leslie was preceded in death by his wife, his son, two grandchildren, his parents, his brother and his sister.

His survivors include three daughters,: Leslie A. Smith of the home. Mary L. Jones & her husband, Robert of Canyon Lake, TX, and Marva J. Villa & her husband, Fernando of Waynesville, MO; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 18 great great-grandchildren.
