Leta M. Carver


Leta Mae Carver, 75, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Vitas Hospice Care, 2300 Main Street, Suite 900, Kansas City, MO 64108.

Leta was born on September 26, 1930, in Independence, MO, the daughter of Samuel L. & Mary E. (Stilwell) Brockman. She married Charles E. Carver on September 22, 1964. Leta was a homemaker, enjoyed playing bingo and being on the women’s bowling league. She also enjoyed going to the lake, being outdoors, and traveling. Leta was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy Brockman.

Her survivors include: her husband of 42 years: Charles Carver of the home; 2 sons: Jack L. Looney & his wife, Barbara, of Independence, Mo & Richard W. Looney & his wife, Karen, of Deepwater, MO; 2 daughters: Jana R. Wyman of Pomme De Terre, MO & Catrina M. Blake & her husband, Charles of Liberty, MO; 1 sister: Mary Hampton of Redlands, CA; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Leta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
