Linda Elaine Smith, 68, of Wasola, MO passed away April 6, 2019 in Independence, MO. Visitation will be 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the funeral home; burial in New Salem Cemetery.
Linda was born June 8, 1950 in Sacramento, CA, to Herbert & Idella Jacobs. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Wasola, MO. Linda enjoyed fishing, watching soap operas on T.V. and recording many of her favorite shows on T.V. Linda loved to cook and bake.
Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Smith of the home; 2 sons: James Smith of Lowery, City, MO, and Ron Smith (Stacy) of Lee’s Summit, MO; 3 daughters: Jody Davis of Independence, MO, Lisa May Wiley (Mark) of Blue Springs, MO, and Dawn Eagleson (Jason) of Independence, MO; 1 brother: Gary Alexander of Lebanon, MO; 1 sister: Susan Coffey of Lebanon, MO; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Idella Jacobs.
