Lisa Arlene Riggs age 38 of Independence, MO. passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 7:00 p.m. at the New Salem Funeral Home. The family will greet friends starting at 6:00 p.m. in lieu of flowers we are asking people donate to Footprints: Wayne D. White Recovery Community Center, 4501 Troost Ave, Kansas City, Mo. 64110.

Lisa was born on May 11, 1980 in Independence, MO. the daughter of Melvin Gene and Joyce Lynn (Cooper) Riggs. She was a kind, loving, and loyal sister, daughter and friend. She loved children and animals. She was so funny, her smile would light up a room and her laughter was contagious. She had a generous and giving spirit and would give anything to help anyone who needed it, even if it was the last of something she had.
Lisa is survived by her mother Joyce Riggs-Todd, Step Father David Todd, sister Diana Ferguson, brother in-law Kiley Ferguson, niece Savannah Ferguson,
brother Ryan Riggs, sister-in-law Tina Riggs, nephew Dalton Riggs, nieces Megan and Abby Riggs, sister Carmen Wayman, brother-in-law Kenneth Wayman, niece Allison Wayman, nephew Logan Wayman, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Rick Ryken, cousin Jason Ryken his wife Megan, great nephew Reven Ryken, cousin Jennifer Kanak her husband JT, great nephews Ethan and Zayne Kanak, great niece Abby Kanak, Aunt Teresa Leachman, great nephew Alex and great niece Mariah.
She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Riggs Jr., grandmother Helen Riggs, grandfather Melvin Riggs Sr., grandmother Evalyn Clements, and grandfather Pat Clements.
