Lois Jean Short, 67, of Buckner, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Lois was born July 18, 1954 in Independence, Missouri, daughter of Arlin and Bertha (Patrick) Shaw. Lois had a hobby of collecting Koala Bears and Trolls. She was known for going to car shows and always dreamed of having a ’69 Camaro of her own. Lois and her friend, Pauline had fun with their many trips to the Casino. She loved spending time with her family. Her dog, Blue was faithfully always by her side and will greatly miss her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Shaw; sister, Kathy Shaw; and son, Donavan Short.
Lois is survived by son, David Short (Crystal); daughter, Dee Dee Short (Donald); longtime companion, Mike Piedimonte; sister, Linda Shaw; eight grandchildren: Joshua, Sara, Maxwell, Kilee, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Jorden and Xavier.
