Loye Leon Elliott, 82, of Hindsville, Arkansas, formerly a longtime resident of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri. An inurnment will be Saturday, October 11th at Evergreen Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR.
Loye was born on June 24, 1926 to Leslie G. and Roberta C. (Wilson) Elliot in Whittier, California. He was a retired master plumber, a Marine Corp Veteran who proudly served abroad the USS New Jersey in WWII, and a longtime member of Cross Creek Baptist Mission in Oak Grove, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty J. Hall Elliott and Lily B. Fields Ellliott; a son, Monty Joe Elliott; and a sister, Carol L. Tate.
His survivors include his three daughters: Deborah Henson & her husband Robert, of Suffolk, VA; Jane Scott & her husband, Mike of Hindsville, AR, and Rebecca Meyers of Platte City, MO; one adopted son: Paul Elliott & his wife, Erin of Grain Valley, MO; one adopted daughter, Mari-Jo Wilkes & her husband, Dale of Holts Summit, MO; one stepson: Mike Dana of Centerton, AR; one stepdaughter: Carol Chapman & her husband, Ted of St. Louis, MO; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister: Virginia Fields & her husband, Bill of Fayetteville, AR.
