Lynn Marie Brooks, 60, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away August 26, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 31st at First Baptist Church of Grain Valley; burial in Perdee Cemetery, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30th at the church. Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Grain Valley or Greater St. Joseph Young Life Organization.
Lynn was born September 3, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Everett W. and Gloria (Schubert) Walker Jr. She was an Administrative Assistant for GEHA.
Her survivors include her husband Terry D. Brooks of Grain Valley; son, Jaime B. Brooks of Grain Valley; son Donovan “D.J.” Brooks & Amy of Savannah, MO; his mother, Gloria Walker of Independence, MO; sisters: Connie Fulcher & Jay, Cindy Buckles & Mike, Pam Thorp & Terry; brothers: Bill Walker & Lidia, Roger Walker, Bryan Walker & Donna; and numerous nieces & nephews.
