Margie Mae Branson, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away April 15, 2019. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18th at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO; burial in New Salem Cemetery.
Margie was born July 28, 1927 in Parnell, MO to William R & Ethel M. (Powers) Adams. She married Charles E. Branson on July 31, 1942. Margie enjoyed collecting angels and listening to gospel and country music. She had a love for all children and was a Grandma to many of all ages.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Branson; daughter, Cathy Coffelt; and her parents, William & Ethel Powers.
Margie is survived by her 2 granddaughters: Lisa Collins & husband Matt of Blue Springs, MO, and Misti Gurley of Grandview, MO; 5 great-grandchildren: Lauren Collins, Melanie Gurley, Colton Gurley, Denee Gurley, and Christian Gurley; 1 great great-grandson, Deandre Barbee; and many nieces and nephews.
