Marian White, 82, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Marian was born on July 29, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Timothy and Anna Stina (Melbome) Nilsson. She graduated from Westport High School, Kansas City, MO, and received her Nursing Certificate from Genral Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Marian married Charles White III on January 15, 1946. She was an LPN at Baptist Medical Center, retiring in 1987 after 25 years of service. After retiring, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks and then to Grain Valley in July 2004. Marian was a member of the Warsaw Christian Church, Warsaw, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Her survivors include her husband, Charles White III of the home; one son: Charles White IV of Independence, MO; three daughters: Janet McNally of Independence, MO, JoAnne Baker & her husband, Charles, of Independence, MO, and Ellen Woody & her husband, Doug, of Lee’s Summit, MO; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Marian was a completely selfless loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother and was devoted to her family & friends.
