Marietta Mae Turner, 96, of Napoleon, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab, Oak Grove, MO. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
Marietta was born May 3, 1922, in Jerome, Iowa, the daughter of Noah and Laura (Albertson) Buckallew. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and taking care of the farm. Marietta always helped her children with their businesses and preparing meals. She was active in the Nazarene Church.
Marietta was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Edsel Abbot in 1944, and Dan Turner Sr. in 1976; sister, Belle Foster; and four brothers: Henry, Harry, Jerry, and Manuel Buckallew.
Her survivors include four children: Lily Turner (Buford) of Napoleon, Judy Michael of Napoleon, Dan Turner (Linda) of Blue Springs, MO, and Houston Turner (Kim) of Kansas City, MO; three sisters: Maxine Ulhrich of IL, Agnes Kleeb of AR, and Irene Abma of OK; brother, Bill Buckallew of Buckner, MO; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and fourteen great great-grandchildren.
