Marion E. Rector


Marian Earl Rector, 80, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at St. John’s Breech Regional Medical Center, Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial with Military Honors in Blue Springs, Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Marion was born on September 8, 1926, in Stoutland, MO, the son of William and Cressie (Casteel) Rector. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, aboard the USS Pandera. Marian worked for the Pacific Intermountain Express as a Diesel Mechanic, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the VFW, Teamsters Union #552 and an avid bowler.

Marion was preceded in death by his first wife, Erma, an infant son, Three brothers and four sisters.

His survivors include his wife, Pauline Rector of the home; three sons: Roger Rector & his wife, Debbie of Odessa, MO, Gregg Rector & his wife, Kim of Oak Grove, MO. and Brent Rector of Grain Valley, MO; two daughters: Terri Milligan of Blue Springs, MO and Susan Rector of Grain Valley, MO; one step-daughter: Deborah Smith of Lebanon, MO; two brothers: Bill & Don Rector, both of Oak Grove, MO; one sister: Doris Downey of Oak Grove, MO; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
