Marjorie Alley, 96, departed this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 8:50 a.m. suffering from pneumonia and congestive heart failure. Visitation will be 9:30 -11 :00 Saturday, September 10 with the Funeral Service to follow at 11 :00 at the Oak Grove Church of Christ. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Marjorie was a resident of Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab for the last three months of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband: W.D. Alley; one son: Billy D. Alley; her parents: Billy & Della Owings; brother: Halbert Owings; sister: Lila Davis. She is survived by her daughter: Shirley Hutcherson & son-in-law Walter Hutcherson; son: Robert F. Alley & wife Dot Alley; along with six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a faithful wife and homemaker to W.D. and children for 71 years, a loving and compassionate mother and a faithful member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ from the age of 18 until her death. She loved her church family and was at every service of the church until her health prevented her from attending during the last months of her life. Her loyal service to the Lord was an example to all who knew her.
