Marjorie Sue Vanderpool, 81 of Independence, MO passed away March 25, 2021. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday April 2, 2021 at New Salem Cemetery; Independence, MO.
Marjorie was born April 3, 1939 in Brumley, MO to Curtis & Maria (Carr) Popplewell. She married Kenneth W. Vanderpool on June 8, 1956. Marjorie retired from Gemaco Printing Company. She was an artist and enjoyed painting and holding art classes in her home. Marjorie also enjoyed going to the lake, taking care of the neighborhood animals and tending to her flowers.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth in 2015.
Marjorie is survived by her son: Kevin Vanderpool of Sibley, MO; 1 brother: David Popplewell of Independence, MO; 1 niece: Deanna Vanderpool of Independence, MO.
