Martha Jane Johnson, 76, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Martha was born September 9, 1939, in Jackson County, Missouri, the daughter of William Glenn and Alma Maxine (Morris) Johnson. She was an abstract clerk for a title company. Martha enjoying bowling, going to the casino, playing bingo, going to church, and especially spending time with her family.
Martha was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy White in 2003; one sister, Frances Harper; and one brother, Roy Johnson.
Survivors include her grandson, Ryan White (Elizabeth) of Blue Springs, MO; great-granddaughter, Sloane White; one brother, Glenn Johnson (JoAnn) of Independence, MO; three sisters: Margaret Brisbin of Independence, Harriette Salley (Jim) of Bates City, MO, and Anna Mae Walters of Bates City; brother-in-law, Lonnie Harper of Bates City; sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson of Oak Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
