Martha June Jordan, 84, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 in her home surrounded by family after a brief battle with leukemia. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 21st at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Martha was born March 2, 1934, in Strother, Missouri, the daughter of Carl and Ruth (Vogal) Potter. She was a housewife and devoted mother. Spending time with her family was most important to her.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Cap” Jordan, and nine siblings.
Her survivors include one sister, Iola Meeks of Centralia, MO; daughter Vyrla England & husband Paul “Tony”, daughter Vivian Kankey & husband Willie, and foster daughter Bess Corcoran, all of Oak Grove; seven grandchildren: Paul Adam England, Jeremy England, Martha Kankey, Cole Kankey, Cody Kankey, Deretha Martinez, and Raymond Garrett; five great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Martha will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to the caregivers of Caris Hospice for their kindness and support.
