Martin Shrout, 93, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23rd at First Christian Church, Blue Springs; burial to follow in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Christian Church, Blue Springs.
Martin was born in Blue Springs, MO on September 8, 1924, son of John and Georgia (Stayton) Shrout. He was valedictorian at Blue Springs High School in 1941. He was a member of First Christian Church of Blue Springs, past president of the Blue Springs School Board and Jackson County Farm Bureau.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Nadine in 2001; and wife, Betty Jean in 2003.
His survivors include his wife, Luella Shrout of the home; sons, David Shrout (Angela) of Blue Springs, MO, Dennis Shrout (Connie) of Blue Springs, MO, and Doug Shrout (Kathy) of Blue Springs, MO; 5 step-children, 8 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
