Mary E. White, 68, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at St. Mary’s hospital, after many years of valiantly fighting through many health challenges. Mary was born November 6, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Don and Janine Dixon.
On November 6, 1965, Mary married the love of her life James White. Out of this loving union, Donald Edward White was born on September 18, 1967. Mary was a devoted and loving mother to Donald who brought so much joy to her life every single day. Mary thoroughly enjoyed the many adventures she experienced with her husband; especially traveling to casinos and shopping with her last shopping trip being at the Mall of America. No matter what she was dealing with in her life, Mary was a trooper and in her final year found a new sense of freedom with her little red scooter.
Mary is survived by her husband, James White, of home; brothers Gary Dixon (Diane) of Blue Springs, MO and Danny Dixon (Carol) of Sykesville, MD and many brother and sister-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends who loved her very much. Mary’s father, mother and only son, Donald Edward White, preceded her in death.
Mary graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1965 and worked for nineteen years at Western Electric and twelve years at Polytainer both located in Lee’s Summit, MO.
All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, loyalty and undying love for them.
The visitation is 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the burial immediately following at Valley Memorial Gardens.
