Mary Katherine “Kathy” Ward, 66, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 19th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO.
Kathy was born March 29, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Carnahan) Taylor. She worked in Medical Administration at the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City, retiring after nearly 30 years of service. Kathy liked to cross stitch and crochet, and she enjoyed reading, bowling, and watching HGTV, ID, and cooking shows. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Henry Taylor. Her survivors include her mother, Mary Taylor of Grain Valley, MO; three daughters: Jennifer Dominguez (Dustin) of Independence, MO, Melissa Nevin (Bill) of Blue Springs, MO, and Amanda Steffen of Lee’s Summit, MO; ten grandchildren: Brittany, Trevor, Mia, Kiersten, Payton, Liam, Tyler, Noah, Isabelle, and Kendall; two great-grandchildren: Melody and Jedi; three siblings: Linda Ham (Dwayne) of St. Joseph, MO, Debbie Campfield (Chuck) of Elk City, KS, and Tim Taylor (Lisa) of Grain Valley, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
