Mary Lou Chitwood, 87, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2nd at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mary Lou was born June 25, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Orville and Olive (Bruce) Combs. She worked for Tri State Equipment Co for 10 years; was a teacher’s aid at Strausberg Elementary for 5 years; and owned Mary Lou’s Creative Crafts for 15 years. When she retired, she & her husband, Donald, traveled around the country to Renaissance Festivals.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Her survivors include three children: Scott Chitwood, Don Chitwood, & Melody Ramsey; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jane Wilson; and numerous nieces & nephews.
