Michael Jon Craney, 49, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, due to complications of heart disease.

Michael was born April 25, 1965, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Arthur and Sharon (Nihart) Craney.  Mike spent his life in Flint, Michigan, Lebanon, Missouri and Warrensburg, Missouri.

Michael was preceded in death by daughter, Nicole Craney in 2003 and father, Arthur Craney in 2011.

His survivors include: Son, Josh Craney of Springfield, Missouri; Mother, Sharon Craney of Grain Valley, Missouri; Brothers, Timothy (Andrea) Pheil of Yakima Washington, and Jeff Craney (Joey Burgett) of Grain Valley, Missouri; Nieces, Bridgette Craney and fiancé Craig Graham of St Joseph, Missouri, Kaitlin Craney and fiancé Donald Curran of Windsor, Missouri, Natalie and Mary Pheil, both ofYakima, Washington; and Nephew, Loren Pheil of Yakima, Washington; and Special family friend, Jackie Dempsey; as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins throughout the country.

The Family will hold a Memorial Service at 1.00 PM Friday, July 18, 2014 at Royer Funeral Home, 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, Missouri 64029.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions in Michael’s name to Heart Failure Research at Saint Luke’s Foundation, 4225 Baltimore Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111.
