Mildred C. Woodle, 79, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5th at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO; burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mildred retired from Hanes Hosiery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, after many years of service. She spent most of her adult life in Winston-Salem before relocating to Kansas City, Missouri, a few years ago. Mildred was an avid sports fan and loved reading. She walked in faith with our Heavenly Father for 50 years. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband; Barney Mathis; son; Randy Woodle; sister, Betty Ann Clements; and brother, Roy Costigan. Her survivors include her daughters, Donna Hare of Blue Springs, MO, and Lisa Davis of Flower Mound, TX; sisters, Shirley Arnett of Richmond, VA, Ava Normandin of Jonesborough, TN, and Peggy McPeak of Radford, VA; and brother, Carl Costigan of Richmond, VA; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
