Milton L. Morris


Milton L. Morris, 84, of Odessa, MO passed away March 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice 14310 East 42nd Street South, Unit 600 Marketplace Shopping Center, Independence, MO 64055.
Milton Morris was born in Kansas City, MO on January 6, 1931 to Edward & Edith (McAuliffe) Morris. Milton was ¼ Delaware Indian and was very proud of that. Milton graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and worked in a pattern shop for 3 years as an apprentice. He then started his own welding shop. Milton married Mary (Brown) Morris in 1951, and had 4 children.

Milton served in the U.S. Army form 1953 until 1955 in Germany. He returned from the service and ran a service station in Raytown for 1 year. He then owned several businesses in Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Bates City and Odessa. Milton married Judith Combs Morris in 1984. He was a loving father, husband, a good friend and a wonderful mentor.

Milton was preceded in death by parents: Edward & Edith Morris.

Milton is survived by his wife Judith; 4 children: Brenda Rogers, Linda Beasley, Merriel Tye, Daniel Morris; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Jeannie Morris.
