
Nadine S. Saighman, 90, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 9th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Bates City Cemetery, Bates City, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club Eyeglass Program or the Oak Grove Booster Club.
Nadine was born March 16, 1927, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Albert and Marguerite (Carasay) Junge. She and her husband, Richard Humphrey Sr., had three children, Roberta, Richard, and Joe. The family settled in Oak Grove in 1962. Nadine then began a career at Lake City Ammunition Plant. In 1974, she married Glenn Saighman and they established Silo Hill Farm near Bates City, MO. Nadine and Glenn were active in the Oak Grove Youth Rodeo Club and the DAV Post 30 in Blue Springs. She was a hard worker all her life and earned her BS Degree from Park College at age 60!
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; her sister; and her husband Glenn in 2010. She is survived by her children: Roberta Gipson (David), Richard Humphrey (Julia), Joe Humphrey (Debbie), Alan Saighman (Lou Ann), and Kevin Saighman (Linda); 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great great-grandchildren.
