Nancy S. White, 80, of Blairstown, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Nancy was born March 3,1941, in Liberty, Missouri, the daughter of Thurman and Virginia (Rose) Whitaker. She married Thomas L. White on August 28, 1959. Nancy retired from the Independence Regional Health Center as a surgical unit secretary and worked at Bernina Sewing Company where she shared her passion for sewing as an instructor. She enjoyed baking and cooking family recipes, growing beautiful flowers in her garden, and especially loved spending time with family and friends. Nancy was exceptionally talented at sewing and made a number of beautiful quilts; each put together with love.
Nancy is survived by four children: Debbie Galloway of Kansas City, MO, Tommie White of Blairstown, MO, Brenda Collins (Ronnie) of Independence, MO, and Mike White (Tammie) of Grain Valley, MO; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, one sister: Linda Whitaker of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-one years Thomas L. White, and her brother Edward Whitaker.
