Norman Glenn Taylor, 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Phoenix Hospice.
Norman was born February 1, 1933, in Yates Center, Kansas, the son of Glenn and Cloe (Dixon) Taylor. He was an Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Norman was the President of Versatile Corp in North Kansas City, retiring in 1985. He owned and operated Taylor’s Bar and Grill from 1989 to 1996. He enjoyed spending time with his family and babysitting his grandchildren.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
His survivors include his wife, Joan Taylor of the home; three children: Brad Taylor (Kim), Barry Taylor, and Jana Taylor (Neal), all of Oak Grove; one sister, Emma Jean Hollinger of Burlington, KS; and three grandchildren: Zachary Taylor, Logan Taylor, and Savannah Taylor.
