Pamela S. Marquez


Pamela Sue (Schneider) Marquez, 39, died at her Grain Valley home on Saturday, July 15, 2006. Visitation will be held at St. John La Lande Catholic Church, 801 NW R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO, on Thursday, July 20th from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Casual dress is acceptable. Services will be held on Friday, July 21st at 10:00 a.m. at the church, with burial following at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established in the name of Michael Anthony Marquez at Commerce Bank.

Pam was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 15, 1966, to parents, joseph and Barbara Schneider. Her father, Joseph, and grandfather, Michael Pistillo, preceded her in death. After graduation from Blue Springs High School in 1984, she received her cosmetology degree and worked as a hair stylist at a number of top styling salons. In 1997 she joined the Blue Springs School District as an assistant in the Prime Time Child Care Program. She has been the Prime Time Site Coordinator at Thomas Ultican Elementary in Blue Springs since 2002.

Pam is survived by her husband, Joe, and sons, Taylor and Michael of the home; mother, Barbara Schneider and grandmother, Kathryn Pistillo, of Independence, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Jason Van Camp of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandfather, Elwood Church of Lee’s Summit, MO; aunt, Judith Barr of Casper, WY; stepmother, Jackie Schneider of Blue Springs, MO; stepsister and husband, Dawn and Chris Cook of Lone Jack, MO; stepbrother and wife, Chris and Lori Wright of Lee’s Summit, MO; brother/sister-in-law, Chris and Mary (Marquez) Richey of Smithville, MO; brother-in-law, Phil Marquez; brother/sister-in-law, Gera and Michelle (Marquez) Zamora; mother-in-law, Roberta (Shafer) Marquez, all of Kansas City, MO; and many nephews and nieces who will miss their Bam-Bam. Words cannot describe the pain we are feeling and the emptiness that surrounds her family and friends. Pam has touched so many lives in her short time on this earth. We are blessed to have known and loved her.
