Patricia A. Mora

Patricia Ann (Whitfill) Mora passed away at Saint Lukes East Hospital on June 21, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 88.

Pat was born on October 24, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri.  She attended Southeast High School and married Augustine Mora in 1954. Together they raised four daughters and shared 51 years of marriage before Augie’s passing in 2005.

Pat loved to laugh, tell jokes, and spend time with people. She genuinely loved family and friends and never missed an opportunity to gather with those she cared about. Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies, including interior design, pottery, macramé, upholstery, sewing, gardening, and jigsaw puzzles.

Pat and Augie discovered a love of sailing in the early 1970s. Over the years they owned several sailboats, each one a little larger than the last. Shortly after retiring, they embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, sailing from Florida to the Caribbean, where they lived aboard their 42-foot sailboat for seven years. Their travels took them to ports including the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

She was preceded in death by her husband Augustine Mora, her brother Bill Whitfill, her sister Joyce Joy, her daughter Janette Clayton and her granddaughter Mary Ellyn Tschirhart.

She leaves behind three daughters; Jennifer Williams, Jill Myers (Chad) and Mia Mora (Hal), 5 grandchildren; Chris Williams (Amy), Mike Williams (Angie), Nathan Fielder, Cole Fielder and Holly Grzac (Edi); 4 great grandchildren (Alexis, Levi, Megan and Robbie) and 3 great-great grandchildren (Dylan, Hudson and Tate).  She is also survived by her brother and sister; Doug Manning (Wilma), Diana Manning Nicholson and her step-sister Darlene Godsey.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, there will be no traditional funeral service.  Instead, her family will celebrate a life well lived with a gathering on what would have been her 89th birthday in October, where those who loved her can share stores, laughter and memories. Details will be shared when they become available.
