Patricia “Pat” Willene Harris age 75 of Independence, MO. passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 11:30 a.m. at the New Salem Funeral Home in Independence, MO. The family will greet guests starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the New Salem Cemetery also in Independence, MO.
Pat was born on September 11, 1943 the daughter of Woodrow and Lorene (Austin) Hardy. She worked retail for over 40 years and customers would come into the store and ask for her by name. Pat loved to cook and color, she was a member of the Susquehanna Baptist Church since 1963 and taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school.
Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hilson Harris, her children, Lori (Jim) Haugmo and Wes (Missy) Harris, both of Independence, MO. one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Harris of North Kansas City, MO. grandchildren, Zachary Bartolich, Ali Bartolich, Rachelle Harris, Cal Harris, Chloe Harris, Blake (Jessica) Haugmo and Logan Haugmo also surviving are three sisters, Martha Taylor of Gilbertown, AL. Donna Kersieck of Independence, MO. and Gwen Abston of Gilbertown, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son David Harris.
