Phyllis J. Logan


Phyllis Joann (Story) Logan of Oak Grove, MO passed away September 6, 2012. She is Survived by husband Vernon G. Logan of the home; son Ronald & wife Karen Logan of Blue Springs; daughter Phyllis Ann & husband Phil Sadler of Wichita, KS; sister Ruthann & husband Harvey Lee Turner of Kansas City, MO; Sister-in-law Sarah Story of Oak Grove. Five grandchildren: Nathan Logan, Angelia Sadler, Vanessa Sadler, Joseph and wife Carla Sadler, Andrew Sadler & 5 great grandchildren: Marissa, Trenton, Julian, Alana, & Alicia.

Phyllis was a secretary for many years in the respiratory therapy department at Truman Medical Center West. She had a great love for and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for her Shelties and her cat, Missy. She enjoyed watching birds at her feeders, especially hummingbirds and the occasional Oriole.

Phyllis had a full and complete love for and faith in the Lord. She loved serving others, singing and praising God. The true love of her life was Vernon, whom she devoted her life to love and serve for almost 63 years.

A bible passage that summed up Phyllis’ life is Proverbs 3: 5,6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Visitation and services Thursday, September 13th. Visitation 9:30AM, services 11:00AM at the Oak Grove Church of Christ, 104 SW 6th, Oak Grove, MO 64075. Royer Funeral Home of Oak Grove is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at Manuelito Children’s Home, 12 Theta St. PO Box 58, Gallop, NM 87301.
