Prentice Jewel Hildebrand, 82, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Prentice was born March 11, 1936, in Roby, Missouri, the daughter of Wesley V. and Dora E. (Wagner) Kinnaird. She was a credit collector for many retail department stores. Prentice was involved in SAF (Single Adult Fellowship) and enjoyed traveling and dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Prentice was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Don, Dean, and Gerald; and one sister, Audrey.
Her survivors include her daughter, Gayla Klein of Friscoe, TX; her son, Dale Vaughn of Independence; four grandchildren: Angie, Courtney, Hunter, and Chealsea; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Eunice of Rolla, MO, and Shirely (Dave) of Springfield, MO; and one brother, Elster Kinnaird (Hester) of St. Louis, MO.
