Reta Earlene Harper, 77, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Monterey Park Nursing Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Reta was born October 18, 1939 in Ash Grove, Missouri, the daughter of Pearl and Hazel (Hayes) Bray. She enjoyed watching birds (especially hummingbirds), playing piano, and visiting with her friends. Reta loved her pets and her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her survivors include her daughter, Renay White (Bill) of Independence; brother, Tom Bray (Pat) of Strafford, MO; sister, Barbara Allen (Brad) of Bois D’Arc, MO; three grandchildren: Rachel White (Rebecca) of Independence, Sara White of Kansas City, and Abby White (Hillary) of Kansas City; and a very special niece, Robin Brown (Jim) of Springfield, MO. Reta was preceded in death by one son, Reggie Harper in 2013.
