Rexanne Lea George, 62, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. There will be a visitation from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 25th at New Salem Funeral Home in Independence.
Rexanne was born on February 11, 1955 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Rex and Marjorie (Matter) Howe. She married Ray George on June 30, 1977. She was an avid reader; her favorites were Steven King and Amish love stories. Rexanne also loved having dinner with her friends and going to the movies, especially comedies. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and was known for her infectious laugh.
Rexanne is survived by her husband Ray; one daughter, Sharon Hicks of Lexington, MO; one granddaughter, Taylor George of Independence; one brother, Jerry Howe (Rhonda) of Independence; and one sister, Kathy Olson (Howard) of Independence. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Howe.
