
Richard “Dick” Aaron Bradford, 84, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24th at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO; burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dick was born March 29, 1932 in McClouth, Kansas, the son of Harold and Zelta (Chapman) Bradford. He spent 11 years in the Air Force. Dick married Helen Borgman in June 1951. He owned and operated Bradford Excavating for over 30 years. Dick was a fisherman, an excellent provider, and you couldn’t ask for a better neighbor. He was the coolest Grandpa ever, and enjoyed hauling his granddaughter, Keilee, to all her rodeos.
His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Helen Bradford of the home; two children: James Bradford of Tightwad, MO, and Kathy Bradford of Buckner, MO; four grandchildren: Jamie Bradford of Independence, MO, Keilee Brocato (Brett) of Oak Grove, MO, William Cromwell (Alysha) of Sibley, MO, and Kasey Olah (Ryan) of Oak Grove; seven great-grandchildren; his mother, Zelta Bradford of Topeka, KS; and two brothers: Tom Bradford of Topeka, and Perry Bradford (Betty) of Rackett, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bradford.
