Richard W. Benjamin


Richard “Benji” William Benjamin, 59, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on March 14, 2021.   A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove.

Benji was born July 16, 1961, in Rumford, Maine, the son of Edward and Helen (Vienneau) Benjamin.  He loved his family and prided himself on being a family man. He worked tirelessly to support and care for his family. He also loved being outdoors and camping. He was known for making friends with anyone he met and having a “larger than life” personality. He worked many years at Riverside Transport, had the opportunity to travel all over the United States, and received many awards for his safe driving.

Benji was preceded in death by his parents and sister Donna Theriault.  He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Nicolle Downing (Josh); son, Chris Benjamin; daughter, Amanda Benjamin; sister, Debra Avena (Bruce); four brothers: Tim Benjamin (Pat), Paul Benjamin (Jean), David Benjamin (Ann), and Raymond Benjamin; three grandchildren: Isla, Aiden, and Evan Downing; and mother-in-law and father -in-law, Tim and Evelyn Morrill.

  2. I am so sorry. Benji was such a larger than life personality. His facial expressions were always so funny. I will miss him. I’m so glad that you all have welcomed me and my family into yours. We love you guys.
