Ricky Lynn Duplantis, 69, of Independence, MO, passed away June 15, 2019. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow on Friday, June 21st at Calvary Baptist Church, 1915 N. Liberty St., Independence, MO 64050.
Ricky was born January 31, 1950 in Lake Charles, LA to Wilson & Eula (Dartez) Duplantis. He worked as a Pipe Fitter for Union Local 198. Ricky married Kathi on December 30, 1980. Ricky loved his family and grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and watching sports of all types.
Ricky was preceded by his parents, Willson & Eula Duplantis, and infant daughter, Tricia.
Ricky is survived by his wife Kathi of the home; 5 children: Kelly Doerr (Robert) of Independence, MO, Danelle Monceaux (Moose) of Little Rock, AR, Leslie Thompson of Independence, Brad Duplantis (Tracey) of Grain Valley, MO, and Ricky J. Duplantis of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren: Emma, Maggie, Phoebe, Charlee, Ronee, and Tripp; 2 sisters: Cyndi Mire (Gary) of Moss Bluff, LA, and Pam Croxdale (Pat) of Moss Bluff, LA; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews.
