Robert Thomas White, 71 of Independence, MO passed away on January 26, 2021 at the KCVA Hospital. No services, laid to rest in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville.
Born January 22, 1950 in Washington DC, he is survived by his mother Mary Jane Bailey of Missouri, father Robert Theodore White, unknown and one of two siblings. He is also survived by his eternal companion Patti Anne Thompson who he married November 10, 1969 in Kansas City Missouri.
He leaves behind his 4 daughters, Jennifer M Christy of Independence, Rebekah J Barker-Coleman of Bates City, Wendy M McCarty of Lee’s Summit, and Katherine T Carrender of Independence, along with 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He loved fishing and sharing that joy with his family. He learned to love cats and will be missed by his faithful sidekick Leo Cat. He served honorably in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam war. He served faithfully as an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
