Roberta J. Diehl


Roberta Jean Diehl, 57, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. 

Roberta was born June 9, 1959, in Schenectady, New York, the daughter of Warren and Carole (Tiemann) Bundy.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Siena College and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from State University of New York at Albany.  She was very involved in the Catholic Church and was an active hospital volunteer. Roberta loved and valued her time with her family and her grandchildren.  She found great joy in spending time on the Florida beaches and enjoyed reading books with a good cup of coffee.

Her survivors include her mother, two brothers, and two sisters; son John and daughter-in-law Tara Diehl of Kansas City, MO; daughter Katie and son-in-law Ted Jude of Minneapolis, MN; and three grandchildren. 

A private service will be held for close family and friends.  In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund on behalf of Roberta Diehl, contributions can be made directly to Royers Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO.

  2. Roberta and I became good friends when we volunteered at the MS Society in St. Louis. The very first day that she arrived, we became close friends and enjoyed going out for lunch. I was so excited when she moved to KC and I had moved there 4 years prior. We met for the first time in ~ 7 years and it seemed like we did not skip a beat. That is a very strong friendship and I will miss her greatly! ~ Tony Moelllman
