Robin Joy Cargill, 57, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; burial in New Salem Cemetery, Independence. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Robin was born July 28, 1960, in Independence, the daughter of Robert and Marjorie Parker. She worked in nursing administration at Truman Medical Center for 19 years. Robin was baptized into Christ on May 13, 2009 and was a member of the Raymore Church of Christ. She loved her family vacations and travels. She enjoyed working all kinds of puzzles and games. Most of all, Robin treasured her time with her engaging and energetic grandchildren, while teaching them the values of kindness toward others and selflessness.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger Parker. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Brock (Chris Meagher) and Rachel Johnston (Jon); adoring grandchildren, Jordin & Ali Johnston and Brandon & Nicholas Meagher; father to her daughters, Tom Cargill; sister Jane Perez; brothers, John Parker and Alan Parker; and many caring nieces and nephews.
