Roger Dale Chaussard (Lococo), 73, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his home in Independence, Missouri. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. The family will greet guests from 5:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
Roger was born on October 3, 1944 in Eugene, Missouri, the son of Louie Lococo and Mrytle Eth. He graduated from Van Horn High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved spending time with his family.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Chaussard of the home; three daughters: Kim Buhrman (Mike), Kathy Austin (Jim) and Karla Bloss (fiancée Tommy Roe) all of Grain Valley, MO; one son, Joey Chaussard (Katrina) of Blue Springs, MO; thirteen grandchildren: Jeremy, Kyle, Tyler (wife Heather), Kayla, Josh, Justin (wife Megan), Amanda, Saren, Keara, Jensen, Railyn, Tommy Jr., and Erika; and seven great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Addie, Emma, Avah, Hailey, Noah and Coraleigh.
