Roger E. Campbell, 87, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date at Oakland United Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Assisted Living at Jackson Creek, Independence, MO.
Roger was born September 14, 1926 in Buckner, Missouri, the son of Wallace and Frances (McFarland) Campbell. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Roger was a long time farmer in Eastern Jackson County, and had worked construction for 35 years.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include brother, Ivan Campbell (wife, Shirley); sister, Madeline June Stephens; children, Robert Campbell (wife, Yvonne) & Ronald Campbell (wife, Debbie); grandchildren: Jason Campbell (wife, Destiny), Lindsey Ferreira (husband, Will), Cody Campbell, & Tracey Campbell; and great-grandchildren: Hailey Ferreira & Arya Kerby.
